holidays

the holidays are always busy. I did not need a visit, though in context with other visits this was quite mild. I went out to my car on Friday 12/21. The car was parked in the garage as usual. It had be a fairly cold week. When I got out to my car, all my windows, both front and back were halfway down. They aligned exactly. Why would the ghost do this? What was gained? Who knows? Like I said, this was a mild one, so I am not too concerned. I am becomig somewhat callussed.

The Ghosts of Christmas?

Tonight while eating dinner in our dining room, we noticed a new phenomon. We could hear our drawers in our kitchen openin and closing. Of course when we ran to the kitchen noone was there. This is a Christmas first for us.

We are still alive!

11-26-07 I thought it would be funny to let you all think the ghost had gotten us and did away with us. But no, after the child crying incident, the ghost left us alone. No more visits this year. I wish I could say no more never again, but I doubt. Thankfully my child has not shown any adverse side affects from the visit.

Never insult a ghost!

10/30/07- Ok yesterday I commented on the lack of activity my ghost was exhibiting, so last night, the ghost decided to put me in my place with two 'special' events.

1. We were reading a bedtime story to our children when all of a sudden the pedastel fan just turned on. Noone was within five feet of this fan when it happened.

2. In the middle of the night, things went from bad to worse. My wife and I were awakened to the sound of our child crying. We went into their room and found our 2.5 year old child lying in the middle of their room on the floor, curled in the fetal position, intermittently crying and babbleing incoherently. We finally got them calmed down and back in bed, but they were quite disturbed, and so were we.

10/29/07-Don't you just hate a ghost that does not cooperate. I was hoping to have a daily update for you, and then my ghost went to sleep. Until last night that is. 2:30 am, one of our kids toys gets turned on in the middle of the night. Toy was located on the top shelf in their play room. No earthly reason it should have gone off, but then again, we are not dealing with an earthly entity.

I new trick

Last night I was in the shower and my wife was in the bathroom talking with me. We had the door closed. Out of nowhere we heard a very loud noise like someone was rolling bowling balls down our steps. Needless to say this was a bit disturbing. The follow up search of the house revealed nothing. Maybe our ghost has taken up bowling.

10/17/07 nothing new to report from last night. I was dead tired from the visit the night before, so maybe things happened and I was unaware, either way sleep kept me from noticing anything.

15 days to H day

10/16/07- I will try to give a daily update since we are closing in on Halloween. Last night or actually this morning around 1:30 am, my wife was up changing the sheets of one of my children's beds due to a bedwetting. She woke me when the power went off and had been off for about 5 minutes. Nothing out of the ordinary you say? Well explain why none of the neighbors power was off. All the porch lights on the houses surrounding ours were on. Shortly after my wife woke me the lights came back on. I think the ghost may be targeting her.

A new awakening has begun!

10/15/07- Due to internet issues I have not had a chance to update this when things started happening. About a week ago, we started hearing the strange crying child at night again. The past few nights the kids have been waking from sound sleep. They always are frightened when they awake. I know what you are thinking. You think the kids crying are my own. Trust me, if you are a parent you know, you know the sound of your own kids cry. If you are in a room of 10 kids, you know if your kid is crying. Trust me I have expereinced this. Also, the random noises have begun at night again.

So far nothing major, but it looks like the ghost is preparing for the end of the month.

Lack of updates.

Things seemed to have simmered down since my last post. I still get random child crys throughout the night, and the bed vibrating has become normal to me now. No other major contacts. Maybe it is resting up for something big. We shall see.

Vibrating again

8/2/07- last night the bed started vibrating again at exactly 11:15pm. Only lasted about 15 minutes before stopping. Still cannot make head nor tales of its intentions, all I can do is wait I guess.

Another oddity

7/31/07 Came downstairs this morning and found a framed picture of one of my children laying on the floor. The picture was previously on the shelf over the couch I mentioned the other day. Not sure what the ghost is looking for. My wife's engagement ring went missing the other week. Not sure if this is related. Maybe the ghost is trying to help her find it, or maybe it is tring to hide it. Who knows, at least these past two events did not cause me to lose any sleep.

The Couch?

7-25-07 Last night, right after we turned the light out we heard two bizarre yelps. Almost like a puppy that had fallen down a well. This morning when I came downstairs to leave for work, all the couch cushions were disheveled and nearly falling off the couch. It looked as if someone or something had been searching under the cushions for something, and then was disturbed so they hastily put them back in whatever manner the felt. Not sure what this means, though it only solidifies the need to get my family out of this house as soon as possible.

More contacts

7-20-07 Two firsts occured today. 1. The ghost made itself known to someone outside of the family, and 2. The ghost made itself known during daylight.

A good friend of ours was watching one of our children while my wife took the other two on some errands. She was reading a few books to this child before laying it down for its nap. All of a sudden she heard a load noise coming from upstairs. (our upstairs hallway is exposed to the living room). Both our friend and our child looked upstairs at the noise, and it appeared to our friend like our child was focusing on something in particular, but she could see nothing. After she had laid our child down for a nap, she was leaving the room and heard what sounded like 2 glasses clinking together in a toast. Bear in mind they were the only ones home.

This level of activity this early in the year is quite disturbing. I fear the intesity we will experience come October.

Another Visit

7/18/07- Last night the strange child cried again. No corresponding bed vibration. The cry was longer this time. It sounded like a scared child.

It has awakened!

7/16/07- Over the past two months, about two or three nights a week, between 11 pm and 12 pm our bed would start vibrating. It felt like someone was in my bed silently sobbing to themselves. The first time I thought it was my wife doing just that. I actually woke her up, but it continued once she was awake, and it was clear that she had not been crying. About two weeks ago, it vibrating was associated with the cry of a child in our baby monitor. No children were awake and crying in the house at that time. A week ago, we had a repeat of the same. It looks like the ghost is getting ready to awaken again. I will keep you posted.
