Another door locking

Yesterday while at work, another bedroom door ended up locked while no one was inside and my family was all downstairs.

Not sure where the door locking is heading.

A little more than a month to go until D-Day. Hopefully nothing major occurs.

A new visit

Last night we got a new visit from our ghost. After a few months of relative peace, (the bed vibrating has never ceased), our ghost is back. My wife and I were just laying down to go to sleep when we heard what sounded like the squeak of our door opening.

At this point, our light was still on, and we could clearly see that the door had not budged. We assumed that it was one of our children's bedroom doors that we had heard.

I got up to investigate in case one of our children needed something or need help. I had just checked on them about 15 minutes earlier. They were all fast asleep, but who knows, maybe my visit had awakened them.

I entered the one bedroom to find the occupants fast asleep. I proceeded to the second bedroom to find the door locked. This very door which was unlocked 15 minutes previous. I unlocked the door only to find the occupants dead asleep as they had been 15 minutes ago when I had checked on them.

No other signs of anything abnormal, and no other experiences the rest of the night.

Welcome back!

To me that is! After some needed time off, I am back. No new activity on the large scale. If I am awake late at night laying in bed I still feel my bed vibrate. I am quite accustomed to this now. Other than that, nothing else has occured.

Behind Door Number One

Last evening was a daylight visit. While we were all at our dinner table eating dinner, in rapid succession, we heard a door open and close three times. One door blowing shut in our house is not an uncommon experience, but this was the first time one had reopened and reshut.

I grabbed a baseball bat our of our utility closet and proceeded up the stairs to investigate the source of the noise. Honestly, I was not expecting to find anything.

When I got to the top of the steps, two bedroom doors were open and one was shut. Clenching the bat tightly I approached the shut door. With one hand I reached out and turned the doorknob. At first the door would not open as if someone or something was holding it shut. After about fifteen seconds of intense pushing, the door finally flew open as if nothing was on the other side.

Needless to say, nothing and no one was visible inside the room.

Earlier every year.

Not sure why, but it seems that with each passing year, our visits get earlier and earlier. Obviously, with prior posts, this year is no exception.

Two nights ago, it we got another visit. I was sleeping soundly and was awakened by the sound of footsteps in my bedroom. At first I thought they were my wife, but I reached over and she was in bed, all the while, the footsteps continued.

I immediately sat up and turned on my light. OF course the footsteps stopped right away, and noone was there.

We still get random bed vibrations a few times a week. Always around 10:00 PM give or take an hour.

The Return

Not sure why, but our ghost decided to make himself/herself known again this week.

First a little back story. I need to have a fan on in my room all night long all year round for the white noise which helps me to sleep. Well for some reason, in the middle of the night, I was awakened by silence. At first I thought the power had gone out or a breaker had tripped. I looked at my clock to find out that I was not that lucky. It was still brightly displaying the time of 3:30 am. So, tired and grumpy I sat up in bed to get up and check the fan. As soon as I did the fan turned back on. I still got up to make sure it was tightly plugged in, and yes it was.

Now the ghost also seems to be trying to get me fired from my job. I hate when my alarm goes off in the morning, like anyone else. It usually takes about 3 minutes of my alarm at full blast to wake me. A few weeks ago, I never woke up and ended up being 30 minutes late for work. I tested my alarm that evening and it was functioning without issue. Well yesterday morning I was awakened by my wife getting out of bed. I lay in bed knowing my alarm would be going off shortly. Well it did for 5 seconds and then shut off. Fortunately I was already awake so this did not effect me, but the ghost must not have realized I was awake.

Before I close, I just want to give another shoutout to my best bud Kurt Yordy who runs Feed Your Family Feed The World. Their food is great, and you get to help a great cause at the same time.

Another Visit

I had hoped to keep you all more informed lately, but I have been very busy trying to launch Buzzcolony.com. There have been more of what I would call 'mild irritants'. These include the bed vibrating and the nighttime random child. There was one 'major irritant' as well.

This happened a week ago. My family was coming home from visiting friends. It was nighttime, around 8. I went inside the house first and was turning on the lights when I heard a faint screeching/whistling sound. It sounded similar to a teapot that had come to a boil, but was just about out of water and steam.

With my heart beating in my throat, I walked from my foyer, through my dining room at as I was approaching the hallway where the noise seemed to be eminating from, I flicked on the light. Immediately, the sound stopped. I walked into the hallway, and nothing, I looked through the rooms attached to the hallway, and all were empty other than furniture.

Just another random visit from our house ghost.
